Our Short Term Minibus Rentals Include:

• Vat
• UK Vehicle Insurance (excess applies)
• UK Vehicle Breakdown
• Mileage allowance of 150 miles per rental day, excess miles charged at 10p (including vat) per mile over.

A short term rental is up to 15 days.

Should you require the vehicle over 15 days, then you will need to change to a long term rental agreement.

We class a long term rental as 16 days plus.

IF YOU HAVE A UK CAR LICENCE - CATEGORY B

Personal Use Only - 

A driver that meets the following criteria can drive up to our  manual 12 seat minibus.

• you’re between the ages of 25 and 70 years of age.
• you’ve held your full valid UK driving licence for at least 3 years.
• you in good health and a regular driver.  Any medical conditions that must be disclosed to the DVLA are notified to us prior to booking (insurance clearance may be required).
• you’re driving on a voluntary basis and the minibus is used for social purposes by a non-commercial body.
• the total weight of the minibus including passengers is not more than 3.5 tonnes, this would be our 12 seat minibus.
• you’re not towing a trailer (our minibuses do not have tow bars).

Business Use - 

Driving for work, schools, church,  scouts, commercial body (not hire and reward).

The biggest minibus you will be able to drive on a full valid UK car driving licence, category B for business use (not hire and reward) would be our 9 seat minibus.

• you’re between the ages of 25 and 70 years of age.
• You’ve had your full valid UK driving licence for at least 3 years.
• you in good health and a regular driver.  Any medical conditions that must be disclosed to the DVLA are notified to us prior to booking (insurance clearance may be required).
• you’re not using the vehicle for hire and reward.

IF YOU HAVE A UK 'D1' DRIVING LICENCE 

Personal Use Only - 

A driver that meets the following criteria can drive up to our manual 17 seat minibus.

• you’re between the ages of 25 and 70 years of age.
• You’ve had your full valid UK driving licence for at least 3 years.
• you in good health and a regular driver.  Any medical conditions that must be disclosed to the DVLA are notified to us prior to booking (insurance clearance may be required).
• you’re driving for a commerical body that is not hire and reward, the total weight of the minibus including passengers is not more than 7.5 tonnes, this would be our manual 17 seat minibus.
• you’re not towing a trailer (our minibuses do not have tow bars)

Business Use - 

Driving for work, schools, church,  scouts, commercial body (not hire and reward).

• The biggest minibus you will be able to drive on a full valid UK car driving licence, category B for business use (not hire and reward) would be our 9 seat minibus.
• you’re between the ages of 25 and 70 years of age.

EUROPEAN HIRE

Driving the rental minibus outside of mainland UK Licence Requirements.

For Personal Use - Car Licence - Category B

Biggest is our 9 seat minibus (8 passengers plus the driver).

For Personal Use -  Category D1 Driving Licence

Biggest is our 17 seat minibus (16 passengers plus the driver).

For Travel Outside of UK - Driver(s) will also need:

• International drivers permit - this can normally be obtained from a main post office in advance.  Licence requirement apply.
• digital tacho fitted to our 12, 15 and 17 seat minibuses to comply with EU travel.    Drivers will need a valid digital drivers tacho card.  This can be applied for via the DVLA - click here, it may take a minimum of 6 weeks to get - apply early. 

We can accept the following cards as payment.

If you live in the UK with a UK driving licence:

• Visa Debit
• Visa Credit Card
• Mastercard Credit Card
• Mastercard Debit Card - is only accept if the card is issued from a UK high street bank, Santander UK or Metro.

If you do not live in the UK and/or do not hold a UK driving licence:

We can only accept a credit card payment from either:

• Visa Credit Card
• Mastercard Credit Card

If a Company is renting the vehicle:

If a company is renting the vehicle, then the booking must be made in the company name and details at the time of booking, we then will accept payment from one of the above accepted payment cards that is in the name of the company or the main driver. 

Please Note:

We will always need to see the payment card.

Please ensure you have clear funds available to make payment and you know your pin number.

We do not accept American Express, any pre-paid, top up, cash cards, Mastercard Debit that is not from a UK high street bank, travel cards or a card that is not in the name and address of the main driver.

A security deposit is required on each rental vehicle.

Our standard security deposit on a UK minibus hire on a short term rental is £500.00  

Our standard security deposit on a European minibus hire on a short term rental is £750.00.

This may increase if you have any points, endorsement, bans, convicitions on your driving licence, accident(s)/insurance claim history, non UK driving licence.

You can seperatly purchase excess insurance to protect your  excess. (See Excess Insurance  Section Below) We do not sell this excess insurance cover.

Our long term hire security deposit may vary.

Payment for the security deposit is only accepted from the main drivers payment card (to see what payment cards we accept, please see our 'How Can I Pay' section.) 

The standard damage/excess is £1000.00.

This may be increased if you have points, endorsements, accident history, non UK licence holder,  driver does not live in UK etc.

The damage/excess insurance amount is payable upon each claim/damage.  The damage/excess amount is not limited to the damage/excess amount if  the damage, claim and/or theft falls under our 'Exclusions' section, which can be found in our terms and conditions.  

We strongly advised all hirers/drivers to purchase an excess insurance, so that in the event you pay for damage /excess amount, you can then claim it back the amount through your excess insurance.  See 'Excess Insurance' section below 

We do not sell excess insurance cover.

But, some of our hirer's have recommened a few excess insurance companies to us.

Please note: if you are unable to produce of all the indentification document we require, unfortunately we will not be able to rent the vehicle to you.  Cancellation terms and conditions will apply.

To make our car hire more affordable, we have also introduced a 'Budget Range'. 

Our budget range consists of various rental vehicles at amazing prices, well maintained to the highest of standard but are not the latest models.

If you wish to take a minibus outside on mainland UK.  A D1 Driving Licence is required on our 12 and 17 seat minibuses.

You will also need a 'Driver Digital Tachograph Card'  Please contact us for a quotation.

You will receive a hefty fine.  This will be charged to the hirer as well as our administration charge.

Bus lanes are part of the road that is indicated on the carriageway by a thick white line. They are reserved for certain vehicles, shown on the sign and some operate during certain times or all day every day. They are only to be  used by sustainable transport such as public transport and cycling.  Not rental minibus.
